"How you treat your breakfast is how you treat your life."
Oh! Sorry, this is not a health related post. i just read this somewhere and somehow related to this.
Fast mornings. Half-eaten breakfasts. Rushed thoughts. Constant hurry. After a time, life feels like it’s always running somewhere. In between all this… there is a cup of coffee (not just a drink). This is more a small pause, quietest chance to breathe with YOURSELF.
The last few months were busy. New team, new role, new expectations. I was out of linkedin, even i'm posting this after a long time. Anyways, everything looked right. I got what I wanted (greatful)
I was present… but not really present. Last saturday morning, I made my coffee, added two spoons of sugar ( broke my addiction of black coffee). Sat down, sipped, and something simple came to mind.
Coffee doesn’t fight na!
It doesn’t fight the water. It doesn’t fight the heat. It slowly blends in. Takes IT'S TIME. Adjusts and then… it becomes something better.
Isn’t that what we struggle with? New places, people and roles. We try to be perfect from day one. Talk more, act fast and perfect to prove ourselves.
But maybe… we are not meant to rush like that. Maybe we are meant to sit for a while. To observe, understand and feel the space before becoming a part of it.
Because good things don’t happen instantly.
Coffee doesn’t taste right in a hurry and neither do we. We need time. Time to settle, mix, find our place. It teaches this quietly. Adapting is not losing yourself. It is becoming, slowly and naturally.
Life is like coffee. It needs the right mix with a little patience, warmth and time.
ALWAYS TIME. So maybe… don’t rush. Not your mornings. Not your work. Never yourself. Things are meant to unfold slowly.
Cheers to One sip at a time!
